A Grumpy Game Developer

Over the last 10+ years in game development, I've worked on some of the most recognized franchises and some of the most obscure titles. I've worked for the two largest publishers (Electronic Arts and Activision) and I've seen a lot of the same mistakes repeated time and time again.

In the grand tradition of people like Greg Costikyan, the original grumpy game developer, I bring you, dear reader, my unfiltered thoughts on the process of game development. (As an aside, I think Mr. Costikyan has become somewhat detached from reality, but at least he's trying to do something different.)

What you won't see here is a bunch of "if I was in charge, things would be different" posts. I'm not in charge, and I'm not sure that I could do it any better. Different perhaps, but not better. What you will see are brief little rants on the current state of the industry. Why? Because I can. I don't have a better reason.

Who am I? Ask MobyGames.
